Monmouth County 4‑H partners with other youth serving organizations to provide several after-school and day camp programs throughout the county.
Healthy Living
Get Moving — Get Healthy
Get Moving — Get Healthy program activities promote healthy eating and physical activity. Afterchool and summer programs are a great way to introduce youth to a more active lifestyle.
Personal Development
4‑H Mentoring
Middle school and high school youth take part in afterschool and summer mentoring clubs. Family Night Out events and special themed trips are included. High School mentors participate in a leadership development course before and throughout their service.
Science
Design It! and Explore It!
4‑H uses the Design It! and Explore It! curricula during after-school time to spark an interest in engineering design and science among students, ages 8–13. The project-based curricula was developed by the Center for Science Education at EDC, Inc.
4‑H Farm Friends
The 4‑H Youth Development program has strong roots in agriculture, and although our community has transitioned greatly in the last 100 years, animal and plant science remains at the core of many 4‑H programs. Elementary and middle school youth learn about life on the farm, including caretaking of animals, planting and harvesting.
Community Collaborators include:
